RESUMO

It has been conventionally believed for a long time that echography of the intestines and other hollow organs containing gas could give very little information and would be even impossible at times due to the acoustic noise created by the gas medium in their lumen. Nevertheless, it is high time to elaborate new methodological approaches to diagnostics of these diseases and assessment of efficiency of the conducted therapy due to the wide spread of gastrointestinal tract diseases, complexity of their pathogenesis, insufficient effectiveness of the current methods of treatment, and the inclination to the prolonged recurrent course.

RESUMO

Due to the noninvasive nature of the ultrasound method of research and absence of radiation exposure, it is possible to use it broadly in a wide range of patients for regular medical check-ups with an improved possibility to reveal a malignant process at an early stage.

RESUMO

In the nearest future the ultrasonic method of study will enable clinicians to diagnose quicker and more directly patients with peritoneal commissures of the abdominal cavity and will help to localize more directly the places of the greatest accumulation of commissures, confirm or discover various complications of peritoneal commissures. It will be especially important for the patients who have contraindications to X-ray examinations. It is certain that clinicians should be attracted by the precision of the ultrasonic method and by its non-traumatic nature and safety for a patient.

RESUMO

The study of 53 patients with celiac disease provided evidence for the impotent role of the inhibited hyposecretion of pancreatic enzymes, atony of the gallbladder responsible for abnormal bile acids introduction into the intestinal lumen in digestion, elevated concentrations of free bile acids at the expense of lowjugated ones in duodenal and jejunal contents as well as bacterial dissemination of the proximal portion of the small intestine in pathogenesis of diarrhea observed in celiac disease. It is concluded that inclusion of continuous courses of enzyme preparations and light cholagogues in the treatment schemes of celiac disease and administration in its exacerbation of adsorbents, astringents, antibacterial preparations should be necessary therapeutic measures.
